Skin: Learning Resource by Film Education

Script Conventions

The black type represents material common to both the SHOOTING SCRIPT – the one that was used during the actual filming of SKIN – and the FINAL PRODUCTION SCRIPT - the one that reflects the film as it emerged from the editing process.  Anything that is shown with a line through it was removed in the editing process.

The green type represents material that was added in during the editing process. The factory scenes existed already but originally only appeared once at the end of the film.  Together these versions more or less match what people will experience in the cinema.  It also gives out clues about what was added and subtracted quite late in the production process.

Read the combined script and then consider the questions that follow.
