Getting creative

In the film, the contestants talk about the ideas behind their songs: the people, places and emotions that play a part in the music and lyrics.

|Task :

The UK did not take part in Junior Eurovision the year this film was made. If the UK were to send an entry to the contest, what sort of act would you like to see? Consider how you think the UK could best present itself to the rest of the world. Remember that the contestants must be aged 10-15, and must compose an original song to perform live.

Extension Activity:

Junior Eurovision requires the contestants to write and perform their own, original songs. In what other ways could young people be encouraged to express their creativity?
