Woman in Black
Following each event students participate in a talkback session during which they interact with professionals, ask questions and express their immediate impressions of the film. On this occasion students from Barnet College used the talkback session to ask director James Watkins questions about his directing style, special effects and how he created the film’s atmosphere.
How difficult did you find to direct the cinematography to evoke the feelings you wanted?
Was it hard shooting the scene where the little girl sets fire to herself?
You use a lot of expressive sound. Could you just explain a little about that?
