Inspired by a true story and the diaries of teenagers after the LA riots, Hilary Swank stars as a teacher who is challenged by a class of racially divided teens. Erin soon learns that the teenagers are fighting 'a war of the streets' so she uses the story of Anne Frank to teach them about tolerance.
