A young Wall Street stockbroker, Bud Fox, is ambitious to get to the top. He works during the day and spends his evenings developing an angle to get the attention of successful, but ruthless broker, Gordon Gekko. When they finally meet, Gekko explains his philosophy of 'greed is good'. Fox takes his advice but finds his new lifestyle is at odds with his morals and upbringing.
