A rich man, who has become a quadriplegic following a paragliding accident, lives in a Parisian mansion and requires a live-in carer. A young man from the city's housing projects turns up for an interview, as even a failed interview means he can continue to receive welfare benefits, but he gets hired. The two men develop a close friendship as this touching, funny and dramatic box-office hit unfolds.
